Billy McFarland, the mastermind behind the infamous Fyre Festival, has announced that he is planning a sequel to the disastrous music festival. In his new and improved Fyre Festival 2, guests will be given the chance to experience something truly unique – they will literally be set on fire.
Fyre Festival 2 Brings the Heat (Literally)
“We heard the complaints from last time that there wasn’t enough excitement,” McFarland said in a statement. “So we decided to take things up a notch and give people what they really want – the chance to be engulfed in flames!”
According to McFarland, the festival will take place on a remote island in the Pacific Ocean, far away from any civilization or emergency services. Guests will be flown in by private jet and then set loose on the island, where they will have to navigate a series of obstacles while being pursued by a team of flamethrower-wielding performers.
“Think of it like a real-life Hunger Games, but with fire instead of weapons,” McFarland said. “It’s going to be epic.”
Despite the obvious safety concerns, McFarland is confident that the potential exposure on social media will attract millennials and Gen Z people who are always looking for the next big thing.
“Let’s face it, people are bored these days,” McFarland said. “They’re tired of the same old stuff. We’re giving them something new and exciting – the chance to risk their lives for the ultimate Instagram post.”
McFarland has not yet announced a date or ticket prices for Fyre Festival 2, but he did say that he is already in talks with several high-profile influencers and celebrities who are interested in attending.
“We’re going to make Fyre Festival 1 look like a backyard barbecue,” McFarland said. “This time, we’re going to give people an experience they’ll never forget – assuming they survive, of course.” So mark your calendars for Fyre Festival 2 – it’s going to be the hottest event of the year. Just be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen – and maybe a fire extinguisher or two.
