It’s perfect for families or couples, and very much for wine lovers. In summer, with the terrace open and adventure parks in every direction, we loved it just as much, possibly even more. We already loved the Glacier Hotel in winter. All too quickly, it was time to drive home. Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, the Jungfrau, it’s incredibly spectacular and, if anything, even more vertigo-inducing in summer because you can see exactly how far down “down” is. I loved Classico Eppendorf, notice now that they have an online shop but had not heard about them before. My current love is the blue bag pictures above – it is the perfect size for shopping. Make an effort to shop with businesses that are doing something good for society – Atelier Avanzar is one of my favourite recommendations.

The rooftop terrace is always open to hotel guests and can also be enjoyed by external guest during special events. Equipped with the hotel’s branded swim bag or ‘Wickelfisch’ as the locals call it, I was readily equipped for the popular Rhine swim.
